Eagle's Eye Evaluation (Current Event)

Pick up a copy of the April 2 edition of The Eagle’s Eye newspaper. Look at each section of the newspaper. Beginning with the front page, find what you think is the most interesting article from each section of the newspaper. Write the headline for the most interesting article for the following sections of the newspaper:
  1. Front Page/News- Cancellation of powderpuff game affects price of prom
  2. Opinions-Administration takes action, New tardy policy takes an aim at seniors coming back late from off campus lunch every day by taking away parking permits
  3. In-Depth- Summer activities approach quickly
  4. Student Life- Students create hip hop group
  5. Arts and Entertainment-Students selling shoes for a big pront and collecting shoes for their closets
  6. Sports- Baseball struggling to make playoffs
Out of all of the articles you selected, pick the one that you think is the most interesting out of all of them. Answer the following questions:
1. Why does this article interest you?
It interests me because next year im going too have a parking permit and most likely going to leave campus.
2. How do you think the reporter came up with the idea for the story? Maybe they were caught by the counselor with always being tardy when they came back too campus or with a friend back too campus and their a senior.

3. What news value does the article appeal to? (impact, proximity, timeliness, novelty, prominence, conflict, human interest) How do you know? It appeals too conflict because it can effect students choices on leaving campus during lunch.

4. What are some facts included in the article?
"Three tardies in the same week should count the same as any other tardies,..."

5. What are some sources of facts or quotes from the story?
"So you mean to tell me that if I'm late from lunch more than three time i get my parking permit taken away?"

6. What would you have needed to do to write this article if you were the writer?
If i were too write this article i would have too go out and interview the principals and students that are ongoing with this situation and their opinions about this and also students that don't have this issues opinions.

7. Brainstorm one story idea for the next edition of the Eagle's Eye newspaper? 
A idea for the next edition of Eagle's Eye newspaper would have too be will class of 2013 have prom issues, and tardy differences of parking permit requirements.

Academics Preview

Best Story
This photo shows that it tells a story because when i first noticed it i noticed food on a table, i was immediately noticed by the hot dogs and on both sides of the photo and a bucket. I noticed that people are making the hot dogs on the right side of the photo and the people on the left side of the photo are people who are holding a napkin in their hand and they are taking the food.
Action

The story of the photo above is that they are doing a lab in science and are testing chemicals. It shows them testing and it looks like moving away from the chemicals quick and action by them laughing.

The story of this photo is interesting since there is a class gathered around a experiment.

Super Bowl Ads Review

  1. How many ads are posted on the Web site?29 ads.
  2. What was the funniest ad? Why? I think the Go Run Sketcher with the Dog would have to be the funniest.
  3. What do you think is the most controversial ad? Why? Because it has a dog wearing sketchers, and yiu don't really see that around.
  4. Which was the best ad? Why? The best ad would have too be the here comes the talking babies.
  5. Which ad do you think people talked about the most the day after the Super Bowl? Why? TheMocking the Twihards for Audi because it had too do with something main that was twilight and there's a lot of twilight lovers out there.
  1. What was the worst ad? Why? I would have too say the commercial that was about a car and a man with a consensus on his back was the worst ad, because that was weird!
  2. Which ad do you think most people will forget about? Why? I think people will forget about the nazi joke ad because i didn't really get it.

  5. What were the most common subjects in the ads?Most settled on cliche plots with kids, celebs, sex and humor.

Finding a Feature

 Second Complaint filed againist officers 

Pizana's two arrest affidavits say that she sat in the car and was on her phone while her friend was being subjected to a sobriety test. The affidavit said Snider told her she was "under detention" and not allowed to use her phone. Pizana continued to use the phone even though she was ordered to stop, the affidavit said.
The affidavit also said Pizana struck Snider in the arm in an attempt to keep her phone. When Oborski and Snider pulled her out of the car, she refused to stand up and was handcuffed while on her knees, the affidavit said.

Officers were both making charges under both Norma and Antonio, that were said not too be true.

The cameras obscura effect is "dark room" which was came to come from a hole acting as lens focusing and translating light thru a wall of dark chamber.

When Issac Newton and Chris Huygens perfected of knowing the Optics and how too make glass lens high quality.

3. What were the parts of the first modern camera invented by Niepce?
Niepce added film too the camera.

4.What do modern digital cameras have in common with Niepce’s camera?
What modern cameras have in common with Niepces camera is that light passes through the lens into the camera and exposes the film.

5. What do digital cameras use to capture an image?
The film.

6. What is the difference between the Auto Mode and the Program mode?
Auto & Program mode is the default for shooting photos on most cameras your guaranteed when you take a photo it will be a great image.

7. What is the Portrait mode used for? How does it work?
The Portrait mode is used for blurring out the background of a photo and the camera will use the fasted cameras lens setting as possible.

8. What is the Sports mode used for? (not just sports) How does it work?
The sports mode is used for freezing the moment and capturing the photo and having the highest shutter speed.

If there is too much light i your photo will look washed out

Stop represents a relative change in the brightness of light.

Shutters and Aperture 

17. What affect does a longer shutter speed of have?
Longer shutter speed has more light.

18. What affect does a shorter shutter speed have?
A shorter shutter speed has less light.

19. What does the aperture control?
The aperture controls amount of light going into the photo.

20. When adjusting the aperture, how can you increase the amount of light?
When adjusting the aperture you can increase the amount of light by having a larger F stop.
